Musical Promenades At The Museum

“12” is the acoustic print of the months, with starting point images and snapshots that characterize each one of them. It is unfolded through minimalistic forms and repeated patterns using the earthly timbres of piano, horn, strings, guitaristic harpisms and tympani, balancing between the landscapes of cinematographic music and the electronic texture of the experimental music. Recorded in July 2015, it is the third of four discs created by the awarded composer and songwriter Nefeli Liouta.

CHRONOS ensemble
Nelly Ikonomidou, violin
Michail Smirnov, viola
Ivi Papathanasiou, cello
Kostas Siskos, horn
Kostas Chardas, piano

Nikos Tselios, guitar
Romanos Lioutas, tympani

The Hellenic Project | Greek Song Cycle

Old and new carols for Christmas and the New Year in a concert that is like theatre, like a fairy tale about a story that ‘came to life’ 2017 years ago.

Big and small children, performers, five composers, a writer, a director, and a narrator will sing old and new Christmas and New Year’s carols.
Forerunners of good news, of celebrations and holidays, carols are a custom deeply rooted in our cultural consciousness.

After ‘Turning World Myths into Songs for Children’, the Hellenic Project invites you to another special concert that bears elements of theatre. Composers will write new carols and will ‘play’ with old ones. They will sing about Christmas and the New Year, reflecting on the past but also putting forth the way they view this particular genre at present.

Curators: Dimitris Papadimitriou, Rallou Vogiatzi, Tassos Rossopoulos Kostas Fasoulas
Composers: Angelos Angelou, Konstantinos Evaggelidis, Nefeli Liouta, Giorgos Chatzipieris, Fenia Christou
Text/Story: Giorgos Koropoulis
Director, Set Designer: Ilias Karellas
Narrator: Manolis Mavromatakis
